When Ash was young, his clan was attacked by a group of over-zealous townsfolk who had recently been attacked by werewolves. Thinking that the shifters were responsible, they slaughtered the clan mercilessly. Near the end of their massacre a group of Hunters arrived, lead by a man named Thormeir to dissuade the townsfolk from their misinformed course of action.

Ash was left without a clan, and in the debt of the strange warriors who had come at just the right time to save him. The Hunter’s ferreted out the werewolves who were actually responsible for the attacks, and when they returned to Headquarters, they took Ash with them.

Thormeir started an initiative within the organization, collecting individuals who’s origins were supernatural or extra-planar. Ash was trained in the ways of the hunt, learning about the creatures who plagued the countryside. Paired with a Shardmind named Naram, Ash was sent out on small hunts of his own. Now deemed ready, Thormeir is sending Ash and Naram out on their first real assignment.
